Job Posting 1: Sr. OSS Mechanical Engineer Position Summary Job Title: Sr. OSS Mechanical Engineer Location: Chennai, India Employment Type: Full-time Experience Required: 4–5 years Job Description & Key Responsibilities Assembly & Fabrication: Assemble, fit, and install machine parts and mechanical structures according to strict design specifications; support mechanical fabrication, machining, setup, and commissioning. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with electrical and software teams to ensure flawless system integration. Design Review & Improvement: Review 2D/3D technical drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing documentation; actively suggest and support design improvements for better assembly and manufacturability. Testing & Diagnostics: Analyze pneumatic diagrams, utilize indicators to verify flatness and straightness, and troubleshoot/debug mechanical issues during assembly and trial runs. Site Support: Provide comprehensive technical support during factory testing, onsite machine setup, and final customer site commissioning. Candidate Requirements Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering. Core Experience: 4–5 years of direct experience in machine building, manufacturing, or special purpose machines (SPM). Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar) alongside a strong understanding of manufacturing processes (machining, sheet metal, and assembly). Domain Knowledge: Hands-on experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, linear guides, bearings, gearboxes, conveyor systems, and automation equipment. Practical Capabilities: Strong mechanical assembly skills, ability to read/interpret complex assembly drawings/machine layouts, and practical experience with equipment commissioning and trial runs.
