The Role
An Embedded Systems Engineer in our UAV development team architects, implements, and validates mission-critical firmware and hardware systems for intelligent Unmanned platforms. You will design, build, and write low-latency software allowing flight computers, Edge compute units, and payloads to operate with absolute system reliability. Your core duties focus heavily on ensuring deterministic real-time performance, low-level micro-controller firmware development, and hands-on electronic hardware bring-up from schematic block to physical field execution.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: B.E. / B.Tech in Computer or Electronics Engineering or related discipline
Experience: 1-3 years of professional, hands-on experience developing firmware and circuit boards in Robotics, Automotive (EVs), or Unmanned environments.
Core Work Capabilities:
Proven capability to design and maintain low-latency, real-time embedded software in C/C++ for bare-metal architectures and flight controller platforms.
Demonstrated ability to write and optimize low-level device drivers to integrate components (IMUs, GPS/GNSS, LiDAR, cameras, barometers, and ESCs).
Experience collaborating on multi-layer PCB layout designs and schematic capture for onboard computing or power management modules.
Ability to isolate bus errors, debug signal lines, and run firmware validation protocols in a hardware lab environment.
Tools & Softwares:
Proficiency with industry-standard PCB design suites (Altium Designer)
Hands-on codebase familiarity with open-source autopilot setups and ground control middleware protocols (MAVLink).
Familiarity with standard embedded communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, CAN, Ethernet, PWM).
Programming Mastery: Exceptional proficiency in C and C++ for micro-controllers, alongside Python for running automated test scripts and decoding telemetry logs.
Preferred Qualifications
Education: M.Tech in Embedded Systems, Power Electronics, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent advanced degree from a Tier-1 institute.
Experience: Prior experience working within a fast-paced aerospace or deep tech startup, specifically launching safety-critical flight control code or custom Edge computing hardware.
Core Work Capabilities:
Expertise building timing-sensitive code on resource-constrained hardware using a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) or embedded Linux environment.
Engineering capability to layout custom Power Distribution Units (PDUs) that convert ignition noise outputs to clean power, implementing strict EMI/EMC shielding against system electrical noise.
Proven capability to implement deterministic fail-safe handling and backup routing schemas to manage unexpected hardware faults mid-flight.
Tools & Softwares:
Fabrication & Lab expertise: Candidates must possess a true, hands-on engineering mindset; highly comfortable hand-soldering micro-SMD components, custom wiring harness crimping, and utilizing Digital Oscilloscopes and Logic Analyzers independently at a hardware bench.
Application Requirement: To be shortlisted, candidates must attach photos or a portfolio link (GitHub/PDF) showcasing custom firmware code blocks, system wiring schemes, or physical PCBs they have personally coded, designed, and built.
