Accountant manages financial records for power transmission or infrastructure companies, focusing on project billing, vendor payments, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include maintaining daily accounts, preparing financial statements, GST filing, and overseeing construction-related accounting using tools like Tally, ERP.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Maintaining day-to-day accounting records, managing income/expenditure, and preparing financial statements like balance sheets and cash flow statements.
- Handling contractor billing, site accounting, and project billing for transmission line projects.
- Filing GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance, as well as handling Income Tax Act compliance and audits.
- Analyzing financial data for cost reduction and profit maximization, including cost-plus tariff calculations for transmission projects.
- Monitoring vendor payments and assisting with tender committee meetings.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Education: Minimum B.Com or M. Com or MBA (Full-time) with Accounts as a major subject, or similar accounting qualifications.
- Experience: 5 years of experience in accounting, with experience in construction or power sectors being an advantage.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally ERP-9, MS Office (especially Excel), and computerized accounting packages.
- Knowledge: Understanding of GST, TDS, and CERC (Central Electricity Regulatory Commission) regulations
Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
