Role Objective
We are looking for an Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in both PLC programming and industrial robotics. The role involves developing, integrating, and commissioning complete automation systems including robotic cells and PLC-controlled machinery.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement PLC programs (logic development, HMI integration)
- Program and configure industrial robots for applications like material handling, welding, pick & place, etc.
- Integrate robots with PLC systems, sensors, and peripheral equipment
- Configure VFDs, servo systems, and motion control applications
- Work with industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, etc.)
- Interpret electrical and mechanical drawings for system integration
- Perform on-site commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting
- Optimize cycle time and system performance
- Provide technical support during installation and post-commissioning
Technical Skills
- PLC platforms: Siemens (TIA Portal), Mitsubishi, Delta, Allen-Bradley
- Robot platforms: ABB / KUKA / FANUC / Yaskawa (any one or more preferred)
- HMI/SCADA development
- Industrial communication protocols (Profinet, EtherNet/IP, Modbus)
- Basic understanding of servo systems and motion control
- Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
Qualifications
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics, or Instrumentation
- 2–4 years experience in industrial automation (PLC + Robotics integration preferred)
