Job Summary:
Naoero Medical Centre (NMC) is seeking an experienced and visionary Director of Nursing to lead and strengthen nursing services across our national healthcare system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all nursing services.
- Ensure delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred nursing care.
- Lead nursing workforce planning, recruitment, retention, and succession planning.
- Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and clinical governance frameworks.
- Promote quality improvement, patient safety, accreditation, and compliance initiatives.
- Mentor, coach, and develop nursing managers and clinical leaders.
- Oversee nursing education, training, competency assessments, and professional development programs.
- Collaborate with medical, allied health, and executive leadership teams to achieve organisational goals.
- Monitor nursing performance indicators and drive continuous service improvement.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Nursing (Master's Degree in Nursing, Healthcare Management, or related field preferred).
- Current nursing registration in home country.
- Minimum 10 years of nursing experience, including at least 5 years in a senior nursing leadership role.
- Strong experience in hospital operations, clinical governance, quality management, and workforce leadership.
- Experience managing multicultural healthcare teams.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
