About the Role
Inland Hospital is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Ultrasonography Technician to assist radiologists and sonologists in performing high-quality ultrasound examinations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate patient preparation, efficient workflow, equipment maintenance, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for ultrasound examinations and explain procedures professionally.
- Assist the Radiologist/Sonologist during abdominal, pelvic, obstetric, vascular, musculoskeletal, and other ultrasound procedures.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality.
- Position patients correctly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Verify patient identity, examination requests, and relevant clinical history before procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and upload images to the Hospital Information System (HIS) and PACS.
- Ensure proper cleaning, maintenance, and routine quality checks of ultrasound equipment.
- Follow infection control protocols and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Coordinate with clinicians and nursing staff for smooth scheduling and patient flow.
- Report equipment malfunctions and assist in inventory management of consumables.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements, including support for documentation under the PCPNDT Act, where applicable.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Radiology, Medical Imaging Technology, or Ultrasonography from a recognized institution.
- Relevant certification or training in Diagnostic Medical Sonography is preferred.
- Previous experience in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center is preferred.
- Fresh candidates with appropriate qualifications and training may also apply.
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment.
- Knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and patient positioning.
- Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety.
- Familiarity with HIS, RIS, and PACS systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Pay: ₹8,621.99 - ₹34,511.30 per month
