About the Role
EVITAR SYSTEMS is looking for a Junior Quality Control Engineer to support quality inspection and control activities for precision-machined and manufactured components.
The role will involve conducting incoming, in-process, and final inspections, interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T requirements, using precision measuring instruments, maintaining quality records, and coordinating with production teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
The ideal candidate should have hands-on exposure to dimensional inspection of machined components, basic knowledge of GD&T and technical drawings, and experience using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and other precision inspection equipment. Key Responsibilities
- Perform incoming, in-process, and final quality inspections of precision-machined and manufactured components.
- Inspect components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and defined quality standards.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and basic GD&T requirements.
- Perform dimensional inspection using instruments such as:
Vernier Calipers
Micrometers
Height Gauges
CMM/VMM, if applicable
Other precision measuring instruments
- Check critical dimensions, tolerances, surface finish, concentricity, and positional accuracy.
- Record inspection results and maintain inspection reports and measurement data.
- Identify non-conforming components and coordinate with production teams for corrective action.
- Support root cause analysis of basic quality and dimensional issues.
- Maintain proper traceability and quality documentation for inspected components.
- Support calibration and upkeep of measuring instruments and maintain relevant records.
- Coordinate with Production and CNC/Manufacturing teams to resolve quality issues.
- Follow established quality procedures and support compliance with ISO 9001 requirements.
- Assist senior quality team members in maintaining inspection plans, control plans, and sampling procedures.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
- 1–3 years of relevant experience in Quality Control, Quality Inspection, or Quality Assurance in a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience in dimensional inspection of machined or manufactured components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Basic understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).
- Hands-on experience with Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, Height Gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Basic knowledge of quality documentation and inspection reports.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 will be an added advantage.
- Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
Candidates from precision engineering, CNC machining, aerospace, defence, automotive, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
