Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and qualified TGT Social Science (SST) Teacher to teach students of Classes IX to XI. The candidate should possess strong subject knowledge in History, Geography, Political Science, and Economics, along with effective teaching skills to create an engaging and student-centered learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Responsibilities
· Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Social Science lessons in accordance with the prescribed curriculum.
· Teach History, Geography, Civics/Political Science, and Economics as per the school's academic requirements.
· Develop lesson plans, worksheets, assignments, and assessment materials.
· Evaluate student performance through regular tests, projects, and examinations.
· Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and academic performance.
· Provide constructive feedback and support to students for academic improvement.
Classroom Management
· Create a positive, disciplined, and inclusive classroom environment.
· Encourage critical thinking, inquiry-based learning, and active student participation.
· Manage classroom behavior effectively and ensure student safety and well-being.
Co-curricular & Administrative Responsibilities
· Participate in school events, activities, and meetings.
· Assist in organizing educational trips, exhibitions, and projects related to Social Science.
· Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to support student development.
· Complete all academic and administrative tasks assigned by the school.
Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
· Bachelor's Degree in History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, or a related Social Science discipline.
· B.Ed. or M.Ed. from a recognized institution.
Experience
· Minimum 2-3 years of teaching experience as a TGT Social Science Teacher.
· Experience teaching Classes IX, X, XI preferred.
· Experience in CBSE Board curriculum preferred.
