To manage and control the day-to-day operations of the Store and Warehouse, including material receipt, storage, inventory control, material issue and dispatch, while maintaining accurate stock records.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Store and Warehouse operations.
- Receive and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, delivery challans and other documents.
- Ensure proper unloading, identification, labelling and storage of materials.
- Maintain accurate records for material inward, outward, transfer and dispatch.
- Issue materials to Production and other departments based on authorized requests.
- Maintain proper stock levels and ensure timely availability of materials.
- Monitor inventory and coordinate with Purchase and Production teams for material requirements.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconcile stock differences.
- Follow FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials, finished goods, consumables and other items.
- Monitor loading, unloading and dispatch activities.
- Ensure proper packing, identification and documentation of materials before dispatch.
- Monitor slow-moving, excess, damaged and obsolete materials.
- Maintain ERP/system entries and update inventory records regularly.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock and warehouse reports.
- Coordinate with Purchase, Production, Quality, Sales and Accounts departments.
- Supervise Store/Warehouse assistants and allocate daily work.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, safety and security within the Store and Warehouse areas.
- Support internal and external stock audits and provide required records.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and safety requirements.
- Report any stock shortage, damage, discrepancy or other issues to Management immediately.
- Perform other duties assigned by Management related to Store and Warehouse operations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Stores Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Store and Warehouse operations, preferably in a manufacturing company.
- Good knowledge of inventory management and material handling.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel and ERP/software.
- Good communication, coordination and team management skills.
- Ability to independently manage Store and Warehouse activities.
