Job Summary
The Electrician is responsible for installing, inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure safe and uninterrupted plant operations. The role requires compliance with safety standards, electrical regulations, and company policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, panels, motors, lighting, and control systems.
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance on electrical equipment and machinery.
- Diagnose electrical faults and carry out timely repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Install and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, MCC panels, control panels, and electrical circuits (where applicable).
- Ensure all electrical installations comply with statutory and safety standards.
- Inspect electrical systems regularly to identify potential hazards.
- Replace defective electrical components such as switches, relays, contactors, breakers, sensors, and cables.
- Maintain generators, transformers, compressors, and other electrical utilities.
- Perform insulation resistance and continuity testing using appropriate instruments.
- Ensure proper earthing and electrical safety measures are maintained.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage.
- Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Follow Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and all electrical safety practices.
- Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications
- ITI in Electrician Trade (Mandatory)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
- Valid Electrical Wireman/Supervisor License (if required by state regulations)
Experience
- Fresher to 5 years of experience in industrial electrical maintenance.
- Experience in manufacturing plants will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of industrial electrical systems.
- Preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Electrical troubleshooting.
- Reading electrical drawings and schematics.
- Knowledge of motors, starters, panels, MCC, PCC, and control circuits.
- Basic knowledge of PLC and VFD systems.
- Use of electrical testing instruments (Multimeter, Clamp Meter, Megger, etc.).
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Time management and problem-solving ability.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety rules and PPE requirements.
- Comply with LOTO procedures before performing maintenance.
- Report unsafe conditions immediately.
- Ensure electrical work is carried out safely and as per statutory standards.
- Participate in safety training and emergency response activities.

Working Conditions
- Factory/Plant environment.
- Rotational shifts as required.
- Ability to work overtime during emergencies or breakdowns.
- Standing, climbing ladders, lifting equipment, and working in confined spaces when required.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
