Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Senior Accountant to independently manage accounting, statutory compliance, taxation, banking, reconciliations, audits, financial reporting, and finance-related administrative responsibilities for our two manufacturing units and office operations.
The candidate should have strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, TDS, TCS, PF, ESI, Professional Tax, Income Tax compliance, ROC-related work, bank reconciliation, cash-flow management, and audit coordination.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage day-to-day accounting activities for two manufacturing units and the office, ensuring all accounting entries are completed accurately and on time.
· Maintain books of accounts in Tally Prime and ensure monthly accounting closure within defined timelines.
· Handle TDS deduction, monthly TDS payments and quarterly TDS returns.
· Handle TCS calculations, payments and quarterly return filing.
· Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B.
· Perform GST reconciliation with GSTR-2A/2B and resolve discrepancies.
· Coordinate and support preparation of GSTR-9 / GSTR-9C Annual Returns.
· Manage Professional Tax payments and returns.
· Handle PF and ESI payments and statutory compliance.
· Coordinate Income Tax Returns, Tax Audits and other statutory audits with consultants/auditors.
· Assist in ROC compliance, including AOC-4, MGT-7 and other applicable filings.
· Perform regular inter-company, inter-unit and office-wise balance reconciliations.
· Prepare and submit monthly bank stock statements.
· Prepare weekly reports showing bank balances as per bank, balances as per Tally, and cash balances.
· Monitor company cash flow, fund position and upcoming payment obligations.
· Monitor receivables and prepare/discuss overdue outstanding reports with management and concerned teams.
· Prepare and maintain Finance Summary Sheets / MIS reports for management review.
· Manage office and unit-level petty cash reconciliation and monitoring.
· Ensure timely payment of utility bills, rents, credit cards and other recurring financial obligations.
· Monitor and coordinate renewal/payment of Trade Licenses, Factory Licenses, Factory/Vehicle Insurance, Fire & Burglary Insurance, Pollution License, LUT, IEC, Bank Guarantees and other statutory/business licenses.
· Coordinate annual, statutory and internal audits for both manufacturing units and office operations.
· Assist with export subsidy documentation/checking, where applicable.
· Ensure supporting documents, vouchers and accounting records are properly maintained.
· Coordinate with banks, auditors, consultants, vendors, internal departments and senior management as required.
· Participate in periodic Accounts Team meetings and management review meetings and ensure agreed action points are completed.
· Ensure all statutory and financial deadlines are tracked so that there are no penalties, delays or compliance lapses.
Required Skills & Experience
· Minimum 8–10 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Finance.
· Strong practical experience in a manufacturing company, preferably handling multiple units/factories and office operations.
· Strong practical knowledge of Tally Prime.
· Strong understanding of GST, TDS, TCS, Income Tax, PF, ESI and Professional Tax.
· Good knowledge of bank reconciliation, ledger scrutiny and account finalization.
· Experience handling statutory compliance for multiple companies/entities will be preferred.
· Ability to prepare financial MIS, cash-flow reports and management reports.
· Strong knowledge of MS Excel / Google Sheets.
· People comfortable with using AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude will also be preferred.
· Good coordination and follow-up skills with auditors, consultants, banks and internal teams.
· Ability to independently manage compliance calendars and deadlines with a high level of accuracy.
Qualification
· B.Com / M.Com preferred.
· CA candidates will be preferred.
· 8–10 years of relevant accounting experience.
· Prior experience in a manufacturing organization with multiple units/factories is strongly preferred.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be responsible, deadline-oriented, detail-focused and capable of independently managing the complete accounting and compliance function for two manufacturing units and office operations. The position requires strong ownership of statutory deadlines, reconciliations, audits, banking, cash flow and management reporting with minimal supervision.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
