Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Solar Project Engineer to join our team and support the planning, execution, and management of solar energy projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of solar PV systems, project coordination skills, and the ability to work with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate solar PV project activities from design to installation and commissioning.
- Prepare and review technical drawings, layouts, and project documentation.
- Conduct site surveys and assess project feasibility, including solar potential and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering teams, contractors, vendors, and clients for smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress, quality standards, timelines, and compliance requirements.
- Support procurement activities by reviewing technical specifications and equipment requirements.
- Perform solar PV system design calculations, including capacity planning, energy yield estimation, and component selection.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and industry best practices.
- Assist in testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of solar PV systems.
- Prepare project reports, technical documentation, and progress updates.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field.
- Experience in solar PV project design, installation, or execution.
- Knowledge of solar panels, inverters, mounting structures, electrical systems, and monitoring solutions.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD/PV design software and MS Office tools.
- Understanding of electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and system layouts.
- Strong problem-solving and project management skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Ability to travel to project sites as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rooftop solar, ground-mounted solar, or commercial/industrial solar projects.
- Knowledge of government regulations, net metering processes, and renewable energy standards.
- Experience handling EPC solar projects will be an advantage.
