Job Requirements
The Corp merchandiser would be responsible for driving topline performance, managing inventory efficiently, fostering innovation, and aligning category-based initiatives across stores. The role ensures availability, alignment, and freshness of stock while coordinating closely with various internal teams such as Inventory, Regional Managers (RMs), and Category teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Topline Growth Initiatives
- Maintain optimal availability vs. average alignment (95%-115%) for category-first stores.
- Ensure collection availability within the first 4 weeks of the cycle.
- Optimize new store inventory effectiveness.
- Drive focus category target achievement.
- Inventory Management
- Maintain non-model stock share below 10%.
- Keep freshness index above 90% (for stock under 6 months).
- Conduct systematic stock norm reviews every 6 months.
- Ensure focus Category Private Brands (CatPBs) availability at 95%+.
- Innovation
- Implement cluster-based assortment deployment.
- Ensure adherence to clustering in store norming and replenishment.
- Cross-functional Coordination:
- Collaborate with Inventory Team, Regional Managers, Category Team, and Cluster Team.
- Ensure timely communication and alignment for new store processes and assortment planning
Work Experience
Required Skills & Experience
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of merchandising principles and inventory management.
- Data analysis proficiency, especially in stock freshness, availability, and sales metrics.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Knowledge of assortment planning and clustering methodologies.
Technical Proficiency:
- Excel/Google Sheets (Advanced)
- ERP systems or retail planning tools (BPM, stock norm systems)
