Job Summary
We are hiring an experienced SMT Operator with mandatory hands-on experience on ASM SMT machines. The candidate should be capable of operating SMT production lines, performing setup/changeover, feeder loading, and monitoring machine performance while ensuring quality output and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate SMT machines including Pick & Place, Screen Printer, and Reflow Oven.
- Perform setup and changeover of SMT production line as per work orders.
- Load feeders, reels, and components as per program and job requirements.
- Monitor solder paste application, component placement, and soldering quality.
- Conduct visual inspection of PCBs and support quality checks.
- Monitor machine performance and perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments.
- Perform minor maintenance activities and ensure smooth machine operation.
- Identify defects, breakdowns, and report equipment issues to Engineering/QA.
- Follow all ESD and safety procedures strictly.
- Maintain accurate production reports, logs, and documentation.
- Coordinate with Quality and Engineering teams for defect resolution.
- Maintain 5S cleanliness and discipline in the work area.
Requirements
- High School / ITI / Diploma (Technical background preferred).
- ASM machine experience is mandatory (Candidates without ASM experience will not be considered).
- Minimum 3+ years of SMT line operating experience.
- Basic computer knowledge and ability to operate SMT machine interface.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience on ASM TX Series, ASM D1 / D2 SMT Lines.
- Knowledge of AOI inspection and basic defect identification.
- Familiarity with X-ray inspection (preferred).
- Understanding of 5S and Lean manufacturing practices.
Work Environment
- Electronics manufacturing / controlled production environment.
- Shift duty may be required (including nights and weekends).
