About the Role
GoHighLevel (GHL) is the operational backbone of our marketing engine and serves as the single source of truth for our marketing and sales data.
As a GoHighLevel Marketing Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate data, building and monitoring automations, documenting systems and processes, and ensuring our marketing technology stack runs efficiently. Your success will be measured by the reliability of our systems, the accuracy of our reporting, and the ease with which others can understand and use the processes you create.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys systems, automation, organization, troubleshooting, and continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Data Integrity & Reporting

Maintain GoHighLevel as the single source of truth for marketing and sales data.

Ensure accurate source attribution for all leads, MQLs, opportunities, and closed clients.

Monitor and maintain UTM tracking and attribution accuracy.
-
Proactively identify and resolve data inconsistencies or reporting issues.
-
Support leadership with reliable, real-time reporting and pipeline visibility.
Automation & Systems Management

Build, manage, and optimise automations across GoHighLevel, Zapier, Clay, Google Sheets, and related tools.

Audit existing workflows and ensure automations are functioning as intended.
-
Prevent overlapping workflows, duplicate triggers, and system conflicts.
-
Continuously identify opportunities to reduce manual work through automation.
Documentation & Process Management

Create and maintain SOPs, workflow documentation, configuration logs, and process guides.
-
Ensure all systems, automations, and integrations are properly documented.
-
Help standardize marketing operations processes and maintain operational consistency.

Continuously improve documentation so systems can be managed and scaled effectively by the broader team.
Marketing Asset Build & Quality Assurance

Build landing pages, access pages, forms, pop-ups, hidden timer layers, and related assets using existing templates and SOPs.

Set up email campaigns using approved templates and workflows.
-
Generate event-related assets such as QR codes and registration experiences.
-
Perform quality assurance checks across desktop and mobile devices.
-
Verify links, forms, timers, automations, tracking, and email deliverability before launch.
Key Success Metrics:
Reporting & Data Accuracy

Maintain highly accurate reporting with trusted, real-time visibility into leads, opportunities, pipeline, and revenue.

Ensure reporting definitions and attribution models are consistently followed.
Automation Performance

Maintain documented, tested, and optimised automations.

Regularly audit existing workflows for accuracy and efficiency.

Improve adoption and utilisation of automation across the marketing team.
Technology Stack Health

Maintain documentation for all systems, integrations, and workflows.

Ensure no critical process or integration is undocumented.

Create systems that others can understand and manage.
Pipeline Visibility

Ensure opportunities and pipelines provide actionable insights for sales and marketing leadership.

Support accurate lead tracking and follow-up throughout the customer journey.

Help ensure qualified opportunities do not go unmonitored.
Operational Efficiency

Reduce manual work through process improvements and automation.
-
Improve reporting speed, implementation efficiency, and operational consistency over time.
Required Skills & Experience
-
2–4 years of experience in Marketing Operations, Marketing Technology, Revenue Operations, or a systems-focused marketing role.

Strong hands-on experience with GoHighLevel.
-
Experience building and managing: Pipelines , Funnels, Forms , Workflows , Automations , Landing pages , Timers and page elements

Experience with Zapier and multi-step automation workflows.

Understanding of UTM tracking and attribution management.
-
Basic knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4).
-
Strong working knowledge of Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
-
Understanding of email deliverability fundamentals, including SPF, DKIM, and DMARC.

Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance mindset.
-
Ability to work independently and proactively escalate blockers when needed.

Strong problem-solving and process improvement skills.
