Job Summary
Medline India is seeking a highly skilled self-motivated Senior Analyst to join our business intelligence team.
This individual will be responsible for research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks for applications installed on Linux and/or Windows (specially SAP Business Objects and Tableau). He should perform application migrations, daily system monitoring, production support, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware and server resources.
Job Description
- 5+ years of software administration experience in Business Intelligence, Business Objects, Tableau, Power BI, Data & Report Engineering, or related roles
- Experience with Business Intelligence tool administration, including
- Installing and testing software patches
- Testing of database patches and hardware upgrades
- Developing KPIs such as cost, availability, utilization of applications
- Support ticket investigation and resolution
- Security and user access administration
- Experience coordinating with infrastructure teams such as network, DBA, and SAP Basis teams
- Experience with reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects (BO), Tableau and Power BI
- Demonstrated ability to work with virtual teams across the globe
- Candidate with experience in AI with Automation and Data agents
- Good experience in applications hosted on Azure (Azure hands on Engineering applications is preferred)
- Candidate should have experience in Fabric workload Operations
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with ability to independently engage all stakeholders onsite and offshore
- Strong understanding of SDLC and engineering operations practices.
- Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management tools such as Jira.
- Strong prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, task management (from conception to completion), & planning skills.
- Certifications in relevant BI and cloud technologies (preferably Azure) are a plus.
- BO Development experience
- Experience with Active Directory and SSO
- Knowledge in Microsoft Fabric, PowerBI, Azure services including Microsoft Fabric
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated problem solving abilities
- Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks for applications installed on Linux and/or Windows
- Perform application migrations, daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources.
- Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted IT Teams.
- Recommend Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
- Write PERL/Python scripts to automate needs such as monitoring server resources.
- Contribute to and maintain system standards.
- Create and maintain Systems Administration Procedures & Processes documents.
- Develops and maintains KPIs on BI applications such as cost, availability, utilization
- Conducts analysis and implements comprehensive solutions to improve the availability of BI applications
- Evaluates, installs and tests software patches and upgrades to BI applications
- Reviews application resource consumption and implement improvements such as load balancing and job scheduling to improve application performance
- Resolves application outages and implement corrective and preventative actions to mitigate future incidents
- Implements auditing processes to analyze usage of reporting objects and applications
- Manages user access permissions with BI applications
- Identifies priorities, risks, and integration points between BI applications
- Reviews and maintains backup, archival, and disaster recovery plans
- IT Graduate (BE, BTech, MCA) preferred.
Experience of working in Captive is a plus.
