Role Summary
We are looking for a Content Writer with ecommerce experience who can create clear, engaging, SEO-friendly, and customer-focused content for online platforms. The role will focus on product descriptions, catalogue content, category pages, landing pages, banner copy, campaign copy, emailers, WhatsApp content, and website communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write and edit product descriptions, catalogue content, category content, landing page content, campaign copy, and website content.
- Understand product details such as design, material, occasion, category, USP, and customer benefits before writing.
- Support SEO requirements including keywords, headings, meta titles, meta descriptions, FAQs, and content structure.
- Improve existing content for clarity, grammar, readability, brand tone, SEO value, and conversion support.
- Coordinate with ecommerce, merchandising, SEO, creative, and marketing teams to complete content requirements on time.
- Maintain a premium, simple, trustworthy, and customer-friendly tone.
- Key Metrics / Deliverables
- Ability to deliver up to 2,000–3,000 words per day, depending on content type.
- Timely delivery of product, category, campaign, meta, and SEO content.
- Improvement in content quality, product page clarity, customer engagement, and conversion support.
- Reduction in content errors related to grammar, product details, formatting, tone, and keywords.
Required Skills
- Strong English writing and grammar skills.
- Experience in ecommerce content, catalogue writing, or product descriptions.
- Basic SEO knowledge including keywords, search intent, Meta content, and FAQs.
- Ability to write simple, original, customer-focused, and conversion-oriented content.
- Good coordination and attention to detail.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in jewellery, fashion, lifestyle, luxury, retail, or D2C ecommerce brands.
- Basic knowledge of AEO / AI-search-friendly content.
- Understanding of premium brand tone and ecommerce customer behaviour.
