The Ovian Studios is a photography and cinematography studio focused on creating visually compelling wedding films, commercial content, and digital experiences for brands, businesses, and individuals.
We are looking for a Junior Video Editor who is passionate about visual storytelling and wants to grow within a professional creative production environment.
Role Overview
As a Junior Video Editor, you will work closely with our cinematography and creative team to transform raw footage into polished, engaging visual content.
The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of editing, pacing, music, storytelling, and visual composition, along with a strong willingness to learn and take responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form video content according to project requirements.
- Organise, manage, and maintain project files and footage.
- Create rough cuts, final edits, social media content, reels, teasers, and promotional videos.
- Select appropriate footage based on the creative direction of each project.
- Maintain consistency in pacing, transitions, colour, sound, and overall visual style.
- Sync and edit music, dialogue, sound effects, and other audio elements.
- Perform basic colour correction and grading.
- Add titles, captions, graphics, and basic motion elements when required.
- Make revisions based on feedback from the creative team or client.
- Maintain proper file organisation, backups, and project documentation.
- Meet agreed project deadlines and communicate proactively regarding progress.
- Assist senior editors and cinematographers when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of client footage and unreleased projects.
- Handle studio equipment and project data responsibly.
Required Skills
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro / DaVinci Resolve / Final Cut Pro.
- Understanding of editing fundamentals, storytelling, pacing, and composition.
- Basic knowledge of colour correction and audio editing.
- Ability to work with different video formats and resolutions.
- Good file-management and organisational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to understand and implement creative feedback.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications & Experience
A degree or formal qualification in film, media, design, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
Freshers and candidates with 0–2 years of relevant experience are welcome to apply, provided they can demonstrate strong editing ability through their portfolio or showreel.
