An Assistant Sales Manager in a hotel drives revenue by securing group bookings, corporate accounts, and event spaces. They support the Director of Sales in executing strategic action plans, managing client relationships, conducting property site inspections, and leading the sales team to meet or exceed financial targets.

The Assistant Sales Manager is a key commercial leader responsible for developing and maximizing revenue opportunities across corporate, group, and travel agent room sales. Reporting to the Director of Sales, this role bridges strategic planning and on-the-ground sales execution to position the hotel as a market leader.
Key Responsibilities
1. Revenue Growth & Sales Strategy
- Drive measurable incremental sales revenue by identifying new markets, business segments, and untapped revenue opportunities.
- Execute strategic action plans and meet individual and team-related business goals.
- Monitor market intelligence, economic trends, and competitor activities to adjust hotel sales strategies proactively.
2. Client Relationship & Account Management
- Build, maintain, and expand relationships with corporate clients, travel agents, and event planners.
- Coordinate and conduct professional hotel site inspections and property tours for potential clients.
- Entertain key clients, attend networking events, and represent the hotel at trade shows and exhibitions.
3. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with the Revenue and Front Office teams to ensure smooth booking turnovers, accurate pricing, and seamless service delivery.
- Ensure a "sales culture" across all hotel departments by participating in regular stand-ups and strategy meetings.
- Coordinate with the marketing team to align promotional strategies and materials.
4. Administration & Reporting
- Manage lead tracking systems and maintain an accurate, high-quality database of current and prospective accounts.
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly MIS (Management Information System) reports to track sales KPIs.
- Assist in drafting departmental budgets, financial forecasts, and quarterly reviews.
Ideal Qualifications
- Education: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel Management, or a related hospitality field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 to 3 years of proven, hands-on experience in hotel sales, business development, or a related professional area.
- Skills: Strong contract negotiation, exceptional communication, and proficiency in hotel booking or CRM software.
- Attributes: Target-driven, highly organized, and passionate about the hospitality industry.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
