Job Responsibilities
- Design and develop fixtures, jigs and cavities for SPM and automation machines.
- Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks.
- Prepare 2D manufacturing and fabrication drawings.
- Design fixtures based on component requirements and machine applications.
- Develop part holding, locating and clamping concepts.
- Modify existing fixture and cavity designs based on production requirements.
- Coordinate with machining, assembly and production teams for design implementation.
- Ensure proper dimensions, tolerances and manufacturability of designs.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years of relevant experience in SPM / Automation Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in SolidWorks.
- Practical experience in Fixture, Jig and Cavity Design.
- Good knowledge of mechanical components, tolerances and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to understand customer/component drawings and develop suitable fixture concepts.
- Experience in SPM, automation or special-purpose machine design is preferred.
