Job Title: Manager/Head – New Product Development (NPD)
Department: Engineering
Location: Adityapur Industrial Area
Reports To: Head – Engineering / Plant Head
Experience: 7-8 years’ experience in the casting/foundry industry (Iron / Steel / Aluminum).
Budget: 10 LPa - 12 LPa
Role Summary:
Responsible for leading end-to-end development of new casting products from RFQ stage to Start of Production (SOP). Ensures timely launch, cost control, quality compliance, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead complete NPD cycle: RFQ → Feasibility → Tooling → Sampling → PPAP → SOP.
- Review customer drawings and conduct manufacturability analysis.
- Coordinate pattern/tool development and trial production.
- Support costing and process planning during RFQ stage.
- Interface with customers for technical discussions and change management.
- Work closely with Production, Quality, Purchase, and Planning teams.
- Ensure APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and Control Plan compliance.
- Monitor development timelines, cost targets, and trial performance.
Required Qualifications:
- Degree / Diploma / Graduate in Mechanical / Automobile / Production / Chemical / Metallurgical Engineering from any renowned organization.
- 7-8 years’ experience in the casting/foundry industry (Iron / Steel / Aluminum).
- Minimum 4–5 years in NPD or product development role.
- Experience in automotive casting preferred.
- Certification : Should have undergone and qualified for QMS ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 certification program from any renowned organization.
Key Skills:
- Strong knowledge of casting processes and gating & risering design.
- Proficiency in Autocad , Catia , Pro – E, Solid works, NX
- Excellent Knowledge of Engineering Drawing
- Understanding of APQP, PPAP, and quality systems (ISO / IATF).
- Ability to make feasibility reports, and quotations.
- Ability to determine the process for creating a new item.
- Ability to determine the best way to produce a particular item.
- Able to Oversee product development amongst a team of individuals.
- Able to Prepare a cost analysis on the development of a new product.
- Have excellent leadership ability and problem Solving Skills.
Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
