Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Field Network Specialist to support the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ISP network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for field operations involving fiber optic networks, broadband services, routers, switches, ONT/ONU devices, and customer connectivity issues while ensuring high service quality and network uptime.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain internet connectivity services for residential and business customers.
- Perform fiber optic cable laying, splicing, termination, and testing.
- Install and troubleshoot routers, switches, Wi-Fi devices, ONT/ONU, and other network equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve network, connectivity, and service-related issues at customer locations.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and network health checks.
- Support network outage restoration and emergency maintenance activities.
- Perform site surveys and assess network expansion requirements.
- Maintain accurate service reports, installation records, and customer documentation.
- Coordinate with NOC and technical teams for issue escalation and resolution.
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Telecommunications, Networking, IT, or related field.
- 1–3 years of experience in ISP, telecom, or network field operations.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, Fiber Optics, Routing, and Switching.
- Experience handling fiber testing tools, OTDR, power meters, and network testing equipment.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driving license and willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with GPON/FTTH networks.
- Understanding of OSP/ISP network infrastructure.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
