Role Summary
The QC Engineer – Civil will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities at the project site comply with approved quality standards, engineering specifications, and industry best practices. The role involves conducting inspections, monitoring construction processes, and ensuring quality control throughout all stages of construction.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Inspection & Control
- Conduct quality inspections for civil construction activities including RCC works, masonry, plastering, and finishing works.
- Ensure work execution follows approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
- Monitor site activities to identify and rectify quality deviations or defects.
Material Quality Monitoring
- Verify the quality of construction materials such as cement, aggregates, steel, and concrete.
- Ensure materials meet required technical specifications and quality standards.
Testing & Documentation
- Coordinate and monitor material testing and quality checks as per project requirements.
- Maintain records of quality inspection reports, test results, and site quality documentation.
Coordination with Project Team
- Work closely with site engineers, contractors, and project managers to maintain quality standards.
- Provide guidance to the site team regarding quality improvement measures.
Non-Conformance & Corrective Action
- Identify non-conforming work and recommend corrective actions.
- Monitor implementation of corrective and preventive measures.
Compliance & Standards
- Ensure adherence to construction quality standards, safety guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in maintaining quality assurance procedures at the project site.
Key Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction quality control procedures
- Experience in RCC works, structural construction, and finishing quality checks
- Familiarity with construction materials testing methods
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Good documentation and reporting skills
Qualification
B.E / B.Tech in Civil Engineering
