Position: Child Counselor
MIT Vishwashanti Gurukul School, CSN, invites applications from qualified, compassionate, and experienced candidates for the position of Child Counselor.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide counseling support to students for academic, emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
- Conduct individual and group counseling sessions as required.
- Assess students' psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs and recommend appropriate interventions.
- Work closely with parents, teachers, and school administration to support student well-being.
- Organize awareness programs, workshops, and life skills sessions for students, parents, and staff.
- Maintain confidential records and prepare counseling reports as required.
- Support students in managing stress, anxiety, peer relationships, and academic challenges.
- Identify students requiring special attention and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for appropriate support.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and positive school environment.
Qualification:
- Master's Degree in Psychology, Child Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from a recognized university.
- Diploma/Certification in Counseling or Child Psychology will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience as a Child Counselor in a school or educational institution preferred.
Skills Required:
- Strong counseling and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent communication and listening abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional ethics.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
Preference:
- Candidates residing near CSN will be preferred.
