Job Summary
ICA Edu Skills Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a knowledgeable and passionate Assistant Professor – Commerce & Tally to deliver industry-oriented classroom training to undergraduate and postgraduate students at our university alliance campuses in Jamshedpur.
The role will have a strong focus on teaching Tally Prime with GST, along with Commerce, Accounting, Business Analytics, and related technology-driven subjects.
The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on knowledge of Tally Prime, GST, Accounting, and Microsoft Excel, along with excellent communication and classroom teaching skills. Candidates with prior experience in Tally training, Commerce teaching, corporate training, or accounting will be preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, practical, and application-based classroom sessions.
- Conduct Tally Prime with GST classes with a strong focus on practical, hands-on learning.
- Teach students how to use Tally Prime for real-world accounting and business transactions.
- Cover practical concepts such as:
- Company Creation and Configuration
- Ledger and Group Creation
- Voucher Entry and Accounting Transactions
- GST Configuration and GST Transactions
- Purchase and Sales Management
- Inventory Management
- Bank Reconciliation
- GST Reports and Returns
- Financial Statements and MIS Reports
- Teach additional subjects including:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Python for Business Applications
- Power BI
- Financial Accounting
- Cost & Management Accounting
- Corporate Accounting
- Business Statistics
- Prepare lesson plans, presentations, assignments, practical exercises, projects, and assessments.
- Conduct practical sessions, case studies, and real-world accounting/business scenarios.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Mentor students and help them develop job-ready accounting and analytical skills.
- Maintain classroom discipline, attendance, academic records, and assessment documentation.
- Coordinate with university faculty and ICA Edu Skills management for smooth academic delivery.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Tally Prime, GST, accounting practices, Excel, and business analytics.
- Incorporate current industry practices into classroom teaching.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Commerce (M.Com), MBA (Finance/Business Analytics), or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, Commerce, Tally Prime, GST, and Business Analytics.
- Hands-on proficiency in Tally Prime with GST is mandatory/preferred.
- Good knowledge of Advanced Microsoft Excel.
- Basic to working knowledge of Python and Power BI.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to explain accounting and technical concepts in a simple and practical manner.
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience as a Tally Trainer, Accounting Trainer, Commerce Faculty, Assistant Professor, Lecturer, Corporate Trainer, or Accounting Professional.
- Practical experience using Tally Prime with GST in an accounting, finance, or business environment.
- Experience teaching undergraduate or postgraduate students will be an advantage.
- Candidates with experience in Tally training institutes, colleges, universities, vocational training, or skill development organizations are encouraged to apply.
