Job Overview
Syrus Hospital, Kushalnagar, is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) to lead hospital operations, strengthen operational efficiency, and support the overall growth and development of the hospital.
The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of relevant experience in a multispecialty hospital environment, with strong exposure to hospital administration, operational management, team leadership, quality systems, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the overall day-to-day operations of the hospital.
- Ensure smooth coordination between clinical, nursing, administrative, support, and facility departments.
- Develop and implement operational strategies aligned with the hospital's business objectives.
- Monitor departmental performance, productivity, service quality, and operational efficiency.
- Work closely with the Medical, Nursing, HR, Finance, Quality, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, and other departments.
- Establish effective systems and processes to improve patient experience and service delivery.
- Monitor hospital revenue, operating costs, resource utilization, and departmental performance.
- Support business development initiatives, patient growth, and service expansion.
- Ensure compliance with applicable healthcare standards, statutory requirements, and hospital policies.
- Coordinate quality improvement initiatives and support accreditation-related activities.
- Review operational reports, KPIs, and performance metrics and take appropriate corrective actions.
- Lead and motivate department heads and administrative teams.
- Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, infrastructure, equipment, and other resources.
- Handle operational escalations and ensure timely resolution of patient and staff-related concerns.
- Conduct regular management reviews and provide strategic inputs to the senior management.
- Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
Candidate Profile
- Graduate or Postgraduate qualification in Hospital Administration, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in a multispecialty hospital.
- Strong experience in hospital operations and administration.
- Proven ability to manage multiple departments and cross-functional teams.
- Good understanding of hospital processes, quality standards, compliance, and financial management.
- Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment and manage operational priorities effectively.
- Candidates with experience in a senior hospital leadership or operations management role will be preferred.
