About the Role
Naxatra News is looking for a talented *Odia Content Writer* to join our editorial team. The ideal candidate should have excellent Odia writing skills, a strong understanding of news and current affairs, and the ability to create accurate, engaging, and timely news content.
Candidates with *prior experience in news portals, digital media, newspapers, television, or media organizations will be given first priority.*
Key Responsibilities
* Write and edit *news articles, news updates, and digital content in Odia*.
* Research and verify information from reliable sources before publishing.
* Monitor *current affairs, local, state, national, and trending news*.
* Create compelling headlines and news copies suitable for digital platforms.
* Rewrite and adapt news content while maintaining accuracy and originality.
* Coordinate with the editorial and social media teams for timely content publishing.
* Follow Naxatra News' editorial standards, tone, and publishing guidelines.
* Ensure content is grammatically correct, factually accurate, and easy to understand.
Requirements
* *Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Journalism, or a related field is mandatory.*
* *Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Odia.*
* Strong knowledge of *Odia grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structure*.
* Good understanding of *news writing, journalism, and current affairs*.
* Ability to work under tight deadlines and deliver news content quickly.
* Basic understanding of digital media and online news platforms.
