Job Summary
The L1 Engineer for Application Life Cycle Management will be responsible for supporting application packaging, publication, deployment, troubleshooting, and lifecycle governance for the Airbus Digital Workplace environment. The role requires hands-on support for application delivery through enterprise endpoint management platforms, coordination with L3/SME teams, and adherence to Airbus processes, security standards, and SLA commitments. The role requires hands-on support for application delivery through enterprise endpoint management platforms, coordination with L3/SME teams, and adherence to Airbus processes, sec Key Responsibilities• Handle L1 support for application packaging, publication, deployment, update, retirement, and removal activities across the Airbus workplace environment.• Support software deployment requests through tools such as SCCM/MECM, Microsoft Intune, Workspace ONE, ServiceNow, and other Airbus-approved platforms.\\\\r\\\\n• Troubleshoot failed application installations, deployment errors, detection-rule issues, client health problems, assignment failures, and user-side application access issues.• Perform initial technical validation of application packages, deployment collections/groups, installation logs, prerequisites, dependencies, and rollback behavior.• Coordinate with L3 engineers, packaging teams, component owners, product managers, security teams, and Airbus stakeholders for technical clarifications and escalations.• Support emergency and priority deployment requests while ensuring approvals, change controls, and communication procedures are followed.• Maintain accurate updates in Airbus ITSM tools for incidents, service requests, change tasks, work notes, resolution notes, and knowledge references.• Contribute to software catalog and application store management by validating application availability, deployment status, entitlement details, and user-facing information.• Support software obsolescence monitoring by identifying outdated versions, reporting risks, and assisting with remediation or upgrade coordination.• Ensure compliance with Airbus security policies, standard operating procedures, and application lifecycle governance requirements. Technical Skills Required• Good working knowledge of application packaging and deployment concepts, including MSI, EXE, MSIX/AppX, scripts, silent switches, detection methods, dependencies, and uninstall behavior.• Hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM for application deployment, collection targeting, deployment monitoring, client troubleshooting, and log analysis.• Working understanding of Microsoft Intune and modern application deployment methods for Windows devices.• Awareness of Workspace ONE UEM application deployment, smart groups, assignment logic, and application store concepts.• Ability to analyze logs such as AppEnforce, AppDiscovery, CAS, ContentTransferManager, DataTransferService, LocationServices, and client-side installation logs.• Basic scripting knowledge using Shell, batch scripting, or VBScript for deployment validation and troubleshooting.Understanding of endpoint management, Windows operating system behavior.

Skill Requirements
Good working knowledge of application packaging and deployment concepts, including MSI, EXE, MSIX/AppX, scripts, silent switches, detection methods, dependencies, and uninstall behavior. • Hands-on experience with SCCM/MECM for application deployment, collection targeting, deployment monitoring, client troubleshooting, and log analysis. • Working understanding of Microsoft Intune and modern application deployment methods for Windows devices. • Awareness of Workspace ONE UEM application deployment, smart groups, assignment logic, and application store concepts. • Ability to analyze logs such as AppEnforce, AppDiscovery, CAS, ContentTransferManager, DataTransferService, LocationServices, and client-side installation logs. • Basic scripting knowledge using PowerShell, batch scripting, or VBScript for deployment validation and troubleshooting. • Understanding of endpoint management, Windows operating system behavior, software repositories, content distribution, and application catalog workflows. • Familiarity with ITSM processes such as incident management, request fulfilment, change management, problem management, and knowledge management.
