Role Overview:
The Chief Design Officer (CDO) will be responsible for defining and leading the long-term design vision, brand identity, and product design strategy of the organization. The role will ensure a consistent and innovative design language across the entire product portfolio while aligning design initiatives with business objectives and market positioning. The CDO will represent the design function at the executive and board level and work closely with engineering, suppliers, and senior leadership to translate design vision into successful product programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and lead the long-term design vision and brand identity for the organization.
- Establish and own the Design Language System (DLS) across all products to ensure consistency and brand differentiation.
- Drive the overall product portfolio design strategy in alignment with business goals and market trends.
- Provide final design approval and sign-off for all product designs before production.
- Translate design vision into practical product development programs.
- Mentor and guide the Head of Design and senior design teams, fostering creativity, innovation, and design excellence.
- Represent the design function at executive leadership and board-level discussions.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams, suppliers, and management to ensure design feasibility and product quality.
- Ensure design innovation while maintaining functionality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and global design standards in automotive and EV sectors.
Pay: ₹1,200,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per month
