1. Position Summary
The Purchase & Store Manager will be responsible for managing end-to-end procurement, vendor development, raw material planning, consumables purchase, stores control, inventory management, and material issue systems for Anshika Fasteners Pvt. Ltd.
The role is critical to ensure timely availability of steel, wire rods, fastener-related consumables, tooling, packing material, maintenance spares, chemicals, coating materials, and outsourced process requirements while maintaining cost control, quality compliance, traceability, and stock discipline.
The candidate should have strong experience in manufacturing purchase, preferably in fasteners, steel, automotive components, engineering, or metal processing industries.
2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Purchase Management
- Handle procurement of raw materials such as wire rods, rounds, steel bars, coils, and other steel products.
- Purchase consumables including oils, lubricants, dies, punches, thread rolling tools, taps, packing material, chemicals, zinc, acids, plating materials, furnace consumables, and maintenance spares.
- Ensure timely purchase as per production plan, customer order book, and monthly consumption forecast.
- Develop and maintain reliable vendor base for raw material, tooling, consumables, packing, job work, transport, and maintenance items.
- Negotiate prices, credit terms, delivery schedules, and payment terms with suppliers.
- Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and recommend purchase decisions.
- Ensure all purchases are made as per approved specifications, quality standards, and management approval.
- Track market rates of steel and key commodities to ensure competitive buying.
- Coordinate with accounts for payment planning and vendor reconciliation.
- Maintain complete purchase records including purchase orders, quotations, approvals, delivery challans, invoices, test certificates, and vendor correspondence.
B. Stores & Inventory Control
- Manage complete stores operations including receipt, inspection coordination, storage, issue, and stock accounting.
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, traceability, and location control of all materials.
- Maintain FIFO system for raw material, consumables, tools, packing material, and chemicals.
- Ensure physical stock matches ERP/system stock at all times.
- Conduct regular stock verification and cycle counting.
- Control dead stock, slow-moving stock, excess inventory, and obsolete materials.
- Maintain minimum, maximum, and reorder levels for key consumables and production-critical items.
- Ensure timely issue of material to production with proper documentation.
- Prevent unauthorized material issue, wastage, pilferage, and misuse.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for chemicals, oils, plating materials, tools, dies, and safety-sensitive items.
C. ERP, Documentation & Compliance
- Ensure all purchase and stores entries are updated in ERP on a daily basis.
- Maintain GRN, material receipt notes, inward registers, issue slips, stock ledgers, and return records.
- Ensure traceability of raw material heat numbers, mill test certificates, and customer-specific material requirements.
- Coordinate with quality department for incoming inspection and material approval.
- Support ISO, IATF, customer audits, and internal audits with complete documentation.
- Maintain supplier evaluation, vendor rating, approved supplier list, and purchase performance data.
- Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality systems, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
D. Coordination with Departments
- Coordinate with production for monthly material planning and urgent requirements.
- Coordinate with quality for material inspection, rejection handling, and supplier corrective actions.
- Coordinate with maintenance for critical spare planning and breakdown support.
- Coordinate with dispatch and packing teams for packing material availability.
- Coordinate with finance for vendor payments, credit limits, GST invoices, debit notes, and reconciliations.
- Coordinate with management for cost-saving initiatives and purchase approvals.
E. Cost Control & Improvement
- Identify cost-saving opportunities in raw material, tooling, consumables, packing, freight, and job work.
- Reduce emergency purchases and improve planned procurement.
- Improve credit period from vendors wherever possible.
- Reduce inventory holding without affecting production continuity.
- Track purchase price variance and report abnormal cost increases.
- Develop alternate vendors for critical and high-value items.
- Improve stores layout, bin system, material identification, and stock visibility.
3. Key Performance Indicators
- Raw material and consumable availability as per production plan.
- Reduction in production stoppages due to material shortage.
- Purchase cost savings against target.
- Accuracy of physical stock versus ERP stock.
- Reduction in dead stock and slow-moving inventory.
- Vendor delivery performance.
- Vendor quality performance.
- Timely GRN and ERP entries.
- Improvement in vendor credit period.
- Compliance with ISO/IATF/customer audit requirements.
- Reduction in urgent/local/emergency purchases.
- Proper FIFO and traceability compliance.
4. Required Experience
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in purchase and stores management.
- Experience in fasteners, steel, engineering, forging, automotive components, fabrication, or metal processing industry preferred.
- Strong understanding of steel grades, wire rods, fastener raw materials, tooling, consumables, and manufacturing stores.
- Experience in ERP-based purchase and inventory systems.
- Experience in vendor development, rate negotiation, and inventory control.
- Exposure to ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 documentation will be preferred.
5. Required Skills

6. Educational Qualification
- Graduate in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering / Materials Management will be preferred.
- Additional qualification in Supply Chain Management, Stores Management, or Procurement will be an advantage.
7. Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be disciplined, detail-oriented, commercially strong, and capable of managing both purchase and stores with ownership. He should understand the importance of timely material availability, cost control, traceability, and inventory accuracy in a fastener manufacturing environment.
The candidate must be able to work closely with production, quality, maintenance, finance, and management to ensure smooth plant operations and uninterrupted order execution.
8. Reporting & Review System
The Purchase & Store Manager will submit the following reports:
- Daily purchase pending report.
- Daily material shortage report.
- Daily inward and GRN report.
- Weekly raw material stock report.
- Weekly consumable stock report.
- Monthly purchase cost report.
- Monthly vendor performance report.
- Monthly slow-moving and dead stock report.
- Monthly stock reconciliation report.
- Monthly cost-saving report.
9. Compensation
Compensation will be based on experience, industry background, technical knowledge, and ability to independently manage purchase and stores operations in a manufacturing environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
