Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and leadership-oriented Senior Electrical Design Engineer with strong hands-on expertise in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD. The role will be responsible for the design, development, technical review, revision processing and documentation of Low Voltage (LV) Control Panels, including MCC, PCC, AMF and APFC panels, along with protection, interlock and automated control systems. The position also requires client coordination, preparation of Approval/GFM/As-Built drawings, and development of relay logic, PLC-based motor automation and AC/DC switching circuits.
Key Responsibilities
· LV Panel & Schematic Engineering: Design General Arrangements (GA), Single Line Diagrams (SLD), control schematics and power wiring diagrams for LV Control Panels including MCC, PCC, AMF and APFC using EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD.
· Drawing Lifecycle Management: Prepare, review and issue detailed drawing packages for Client Approval, Good for Manufacturing (GFM) and As-Built requirements.
· Revision Processing & Documentation: Manage drawing revisions, incorporate engineering/design changes, maintain drawing updates and create/maintain comprehensive technical documentation for project traceability.
· Protection & Interlock Circuit Design: Develop and validate protection and interlock circuits including Restricted Earth Fault (REF), Overcurrent (OC), Over/Under Voltage (OV/UV), Master Trip, Trip Circuit Supervision (TCS) and Anti-Pumping Control.
· Motor Automation & Special Controls: Design PLC-based control circuits, relay logic and contactor-based switching for motor automation and hydraulic motor/pump operations, including specialized pipeline inspection systems.
· AC/DC Switching & Auxiliary Systems: Design electrical circuits for AC/DC supply switching, lighting systems, relay control logic and sensor-integrated automation.
· Automation & Control Logic: Develop automation control logic using PLCs, relays, sensors and contactors for safe and efficient equipment operation.
· Client Coordination: Conduct technical meetings with clients/OEMs to gather and understand project requirements, clarify specifications, present technical solutions and support design approvals.
· Home/Building Automation: Contribute to smart automation solutions using Arduino/microcontroller-based systems, including mobile/remote-controlled applications and energy-saving auto-off features.
· Technical Documentation: Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, drawings, revisions and supporting records in line with project and manufacturing requirements.
Qualifications & Core Requirements
· B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical Engineering or Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
· 5–8+ years of relevant industrial electrical design experience, preferably in LV control panels, power distribution, protection and automation.
· Strong hands-on proficiency in EPLAN Electric P8 and AutoCAD for electrical design and documentation.
· Experience in designing MCC, PCC, AMF and APFC panels, including control circuits, protection schemes and wiring diagrams.
· Strong understanding of GA, SLD, control schematics and power wiring diagrams.
· Hands-on experience with Approval, GFM and As-Built drawing preparation and revision processing.
· Working knowledge of PLC-based control circuits, relay logic and contactor-based switching.
· Ability to develop and understand protection and interlock circuits for industrial electrical systems.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to participate in technical client discussions.
Preferred / Desirable Skills
· Experience with EPLAN Electric P8 advanced functions such as device tagging, macros, automated BOM/report generation and structured project management.
· Experience in specialized machinery/control-panel applications, particularly hydraulic motor or pump systems.
· Experience with Arduino or other embedded/microcontroller-based automation systems.
· Experience in smart home/building automation using mobile or remote interfaces.
· Certification in EPLAN Electric P8, AutoCAD Electrical or related electrical design tools.
· Knowledge of IEC, IS, IEEE and relevant electrical/panel manufacturing safety standards.
· Understanding of busbar/wiring layouts, short-circuit protection and LV switchgear design.
· Ability to support technical reviews, drawing approvals and coordination with manufacturing/production teams.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
