About the Role
We are looking for a Freelance Sports Writer to create engaging, informative, and SEO-friendly content for Decathlon’s category pages.
The writer will be responsible for developing footer content that helps users understand sports categories, products, and related topics while maintaining a clear, helpful, and brand-appropriate tone.
Key Responsibilities
- Write high-quality category page footer content related to sports, fitness, and sporting activities.
- Research topics and understand the relevant sport/category before writing.
- Create content that is informative, engaging, original, and easy to read.
- Follow provided content briefs, SEO guidelines, keywords, and formatting requirements.
- Ensure content is factually accurate and relevant to the target audience.
- Maintain consistency in tone, style, and terminology across different category pages.
- Incorporate keywords naturally without keyword stuffing.
- Edit and proofread content before submission.
Requirements
- Prior experience in sports, fitness, lifestyle, e-commerce, or SEO content writing is preferred.
- Strong written English with excellent grammar and vocabulary.
- Good understanding of sports and fitness-related topics.
- Ability to research and simplify information for a general audience.
- Basic understanding of SEO and keyword placement.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Content must be original and plagiarism-free.
- Experience writing for websites or category/product pages will be an added advantage.

Pay: ₹9,158.92 - ₹30,195.84 per month
