KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan and schedule inbound and outbound shipments of raw materials and finished packaging goods to meet production and delivery timelines.
- Coordinate with transporters, freight forwarders, and courier partners to book vehicles/containers and negotiate competitive freight rates.
- Track shipments in real time and proactively resolve delays, shortages, or damages in transit.
- Prepare and verify dispatch documents — invoices, e-way bills, packing lists, LR/GRN, and export-import paperwork where applicable.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure accurate stock loading, unloading, and inventory reconciliation (FIFO/FEFO as applicable).
- Liaise with production and planning teams to align dispatch schedules with manufacturing output and customer order commitments.
- Monitor and control logistics costs; identify opportunities for route optimization and consolidation of loads.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (GST/e-way bill, customs, transport regulations) and internal SOPs.
- Maintain logistics MIS/reports — on-time delivery %, freight cost per unit, vehicle utilization, and damage/claim tracking.
- Handle vendor evaluation, empanelment, and performance review of transport and logistics service providers.
- Address customer complaints related to delivery delays or transit damage in coordination with the sales/CS team.
- Support audits (ISO, customer, statutory) related to logistics and warehousing processes.
