Job Summary
Sea Blue Shipyard Limited is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The candidate will support mechanical design, production planning, project coordination, quality assurance, and documentation for shipbuilding and marine engineering projects. Freshers with strong technical knowledge are encouraged to apply, while experienced candidates will be given preference.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in mechanical design, fabrication, and production activities.
- Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Coordinate with production, QA/QC, procurement, and project teams.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and company standards.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM), material requisitions, and technical documentation.
- Conduct site inspections and monitor fabrication and installation activities.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource coordination.
- Participate in testing, inspections, and commissioning activities.
- Maintain engineering records, reports, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree (B.E./B.Tech) in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers and candidates with 0–3 years of experience are welcome to apply.
- Experience in shipbuilding, fabrication, heavy engineering, or manufacturing is an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of mechanical engineering principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of SolidWorks or other CAD software is an added advantage.
- Basic understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to work at project sites when required.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of welding, fabrication, piping, or marine engineering.
- Familiarity with quality standards and engineering documentation.
- Basic project coordination and reporting skills.
