Job Overview
As a Junior QA & Software Tester, you will work closely with our QA and development teams to ensure the quality, functionality, reliability, and usability of our software applications.
This is an entry-level full-time position designed for candidates who are looking to begin or grow their career in Quality Assurance and Software Testing. You will receive guidance from experienced team members while gaining hands-on experience working on real-world and live projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and execute test cases and test scenarios for web and mobile applications.
- Perform functional, regression, smoke, sanity, and exploratory testing.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using JIRA, Trello, or similar bug-tracking tools.
- Re-test resolved defects and verify fixes.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to understand and resolve issues.
- Maintain test documentation, test results, and QA reports.
- Participate in different stages of the software testing lifecycle.
- Ensure software applications meet defined functional and quality requirements.
- Continuously learn and apply QA best practices and testing methodologies.
Requirements
- 0–6 months of experience in Software Testing or Quality Assurance. Freshers are welcome to apply.
- Basic understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Good understanding of Manual Testing concepts.
- Knowledge of test cases, test scenarios, defect/bug life cycle, and different testing types.
- Familiarity with JIRA, Trello, or similar testing/bug-tracking tools is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of SQL, API testing, or automation testing is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
