Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Fire Protection Design Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in fire fighting and fire alarm system design. The candidate will be responsible for independently handling design, coordination, and execution support for fire protection systems across various projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of fire fighting system designs including hydrant, sprinkler, and hose reel systems
- Design and integration of fire alarm and detection systems
- Perform detailed hydraulic calculations and system sizing
- Selection and specification of fire pumps, tanks, valves, and accessories
- Preparation of design calculations, BOQs, and technical reports
- Coordination with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines
- Ensure compliance with NBC, NFPA, and local authority regulations
- Review and validate shop drawings and as-built drawings
Requirements
- B.Tech in Mechanical / Fire Engineering or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in fire protection design
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory)
- Sound knowledge of NFPA, NBC, and relevant fire safety standards
- Ability to work independently and manage project deliverables
- Good communication and coordination skills
Preferred Skills
- Experience in high-rise, commercial, or industrial projects
- Knowledge of smoke management and pressurization systems
- Familiarity with authority submissions and approvals
