Lift Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Lift Technician to install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and service elevators, escalators, and other vertical transportation systems. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of all equipment in compliance with company standards and safety regulations. The role requires the ability to diagnose faults, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, attend breakdown calls, and deliver high-quality service while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, test, commission, and hand over elevators, escalators, moving walkways, and related equipment.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and reliable equipment operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults in elevator systems.
- Repair and replace defective components such as controllers, motors, drives, brakes, door operators, sensors, switches, ropes, and control panels.
- Respond promptly to emergency breakdowns and restore equipment to normal operation within the required turnaround time.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions before failures occur.
- Ensure all elevators comply with statutory regulations, safety standards, and company quality requirements.
- Perform functional testing, safety testing, and commissioning activities before equipment handover.
- Maintain accurate service reports, maintenance records, inspection checklists, and breakdown reports.
- Ensure proper use of tools, testing instruments, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while following all safety procedures.
- Coordinate effectively with customers, site engineers, supervisors, and project teams to ensure timely completion of installation and service activities.
