Educational qualification :
ITI / Diploma / Certification in Metal Processing / Chemical Handling / Jewellery Manufacturing
Responsibilities:
1. Refining Operations :
· Perform gold refining processes such as chemical refining, melting, filtration, and purification.
· Handle processes like aqua regia refining, electrolysis, or other refining methods as applicable.
· Ensure proper segregation and handling of different gold karats and scrap materials.
2. Quality Control :
· Maintain target gold purity levels (e.g., 99.9% or as required).
· Conduct basic testing and sampling during refining stages.
· Ensure zero contamination and adherence to refining standards.
3. Loss Control :
· Monitor and control gold loss during refining process.
· Ensure overall refining loss is within acceptable limits (company standard).
· Maintain proper recovery of residues, dust, and polishing waste.
4. Safety & Compliance :
· Follow strict safety procedures while handling acids, chemicals, and high-temperature equipment.
· Use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times.
· Ensure compliance with environmental and hazardous waste disposal norms.
5' Equipment Handling :
· Operate refining equipment such as furnaces, crucibles, filtration units, and chemical tanks.
· Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of refining tools and machinery.
· Report any breakdowns or abnormalities immediately.
