We are seeking an experienced AWS DevOps Engineer with expertise in AWS Cloud, Terraform, Jenkins, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and Chef. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, automating, deploying, and managing secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure while enabling continuous delivery and operational excellence.
The candidate should have strong hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure, container orchestration, automation, cloud security, disaster recovery, and DevOps best practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesAWS Cloud Infrastructure
- Design, deploy, and manage highly available and scalable AWS cloud infrastructure.
- Provision and manage AWS services including EC2, RDS, VPC, Route 53, S3, IAM, API Gateway, CloudFront, and WAF.
- Implement secure networking, identity management, and cloud governance.
- Optimize AWS resources for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
- Support cloud migration and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and lifecycle management.
- Build reusable Terraform modules and maintain remote state management.
- Implement infrastructure version control and change management.
- Ensure consistent environments across development, staging, and production.
CI/CD & DevOps Automation
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and Git.
- Automate build, test, deployment, and release processes.
- Integrate security scans, code quality checks, and automated testing into deployment pipelines.
- Support Blue-Green, Canary, and Rolling deployment strategies.
- Improve deployment speed, reliability, and operational efficiency.
Kubernetes & Containerization
- Deploy, manage, and monitor containerized applications on Kubernetes.
- Configure namespaces, ingress controllers, secrets, ConfigMaps, and persistent storage.
- Implement auto-scaling, rolling updates, and self-healing capabilities.
- Troubleshoot cluster performance and deployment issues.
- Manage container images and container registries.
Configuration Management
- Automate server configuration and application deployment using Chef.
- Maintain infrastructure consistency through configuration management practices.
- Manage patching, provisioning, and server lifecycle automation.
- Develop reusable Chef cookbooks, recipes, and roles.
Networking & Security
- Configure and manage API Gateway, CloudFront, and AWS WAF.
- Implement secure IAM roles, policies, and least-privilege access controls.
- Design secure VPC architectures with subnets, security groups, and network ACLs.
- Implement encryption, secrets management, and security monitoring.
- Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards.
Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity
- Design and implement disaster recovery and backup strategies.
- Configure multi-region and high-availability architectures.
- Develop recovery procedures and conduct disaster recovery testing.
- Monitor backup success and infrastructure resilience.
- Ensure business continuity through automated failover mechanisms.
Monitoring & Operations
- Implement infrastructure and application monitoring using AWS monitoring tools.
- Configure dashboards, alerts, and automated incident notifications.
- Analyze logs and troubleshoot production issues.
- Perform capacity planning and infrastructure optimization.
- Maintain operational documentation and runbooks.
Collaboration & IT Service Management
- Work closely with development, QA, security, and operations teams.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release planning.
- Follow ITIL processes for incident, problem, change, and release management.
- Mentor junior DevOps engineers and promote automation best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of experience in AWS Cloud and DevOps engineering.
- Strong expertise in Terraform, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and AWS infrastructure services.
- Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Familiarity with microservices-based architectures and containerized deployments.
- Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
