Position: Sales Engineer – Water Technology Systems (WTS)
Department: Water Technology Systems (WTS)
Location: Bhubaneswar / Odisha (Travel Required)
Reporting To: Business Development Manager / Head – WTS
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and result-oriented Sales Engineer for our Water Technology Systems (WTS) Division. The candidate will be responsible for identifying business opportunities, promoting water treatment solutions, preparing techno-commercial proposals, and achieving sales targets across industrial, commercial, and institutional sectors.
Educational Qualification
- B.Tech/B.E. in Mechanical Engineering (Mandatory)
- Additional certification in Sales or Water Treatment Technologies will be an added advantage.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in sales of Water Treatment Systems, Pumps, Industrial Equipment, or Process Engineering products.
- Freshers with excellent communication skills and a strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate new business opportunities through field visits, cold calling, and customer meetings.
- Promote Water Technology Systems including:
- RO Plants
- Water Softeners
- DM Plants
- STP (Sewage Treatment Plants)
- ETP (Effluent Treatment Plants)
- UF & Multimedia Filtration Systems
- Water Treatment Chemicals and Accessories
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable technical solutions.
- Prepare technical presentations, quotations, and techno-commercial proposals.
- Conduct product demonstrations and technical discussions with customers.
- Coordinate with the design, project, and service teams for proposal preparation and project execution.
- Follow up on enquiries, negotiations, and order closures.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with industrial customers, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain CRM records, sales reports, and customer databases.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and identify new business opportunities.
- Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Required Skills
- Strong technical understanding of water treatment systems and industrial equipment.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with a customer-focused approach.
