About the Role
We are seeking an experienced News Podcast Producer to lead the planning and execution of our daily/weekly news podcast. The candidate should have strong news judgment, ability to work under tight deadlines, and experience with fast-paced newsroom environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and produce daily/weekly news episodes
- Work closely with anchors, reporters, and editorial team
- Research, verify facts, and ensure accuracy in reporting
- Write scripts, headlines, and show notes
- Identify important stories, angles, and updates
- Coordinate field audio, interviews, and guest appearances
- Manage live or quick-turnaround recordings
- Oversee edit timelines and ensure rapid publishing
- Maintain editorial standards and ethical guidelines
- Track podcast performance and listener feedback
Requirements
- Background in journalism, news production, or media
- Strong editorial judgment and fact-checking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
- Experience in audio production tools (Audition, ProTools, etc.)
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Understanding of current events, politics, and breaking news workflows
Preferred Skills
- Experience in newsroom or digital news platforms
- Familiarity with RSS feeds, publishing tools, and analytics
- Ability to handle crisis communication or breaking news formats
- Understanding of video + audio hybrid news formats
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
