Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and highly skilled Chartered Accountant to join our organization as a Finance Controller. The ideal candidate must have a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, preferably within the Jewellery, Gold, or Retail industry.
The candidate will be responsible for managing the overall financial operations of the organization, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, taxation, compliance, financial reporting, internal controls, audits, and cash flow management. Strong experience in the Jewellery or Gold industry is essential for understanding inventory valuation, gold accounting, retail operations, margins, and industry-specific financial requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the complete finance and accounting function of the organization.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
- Manage financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Monitor the company's financial performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
- Ensure accurate accounting and timely closure of books of accounts.
- Manage cash flow planning and working capital requirements.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, Companies Act, and other applicable statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with external auditors, internal auditors, tax consultants, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
- Manage and monitor internal financial controls and risk management processes.
- Ensure proper financial documentation and compliance with company policies.
- Analyse profitability, margins, operational costs, and business performance.
- Prepare MIS reports and financial dashboards for management review.
- Support senior management in strategic financial planning and business decision-making.
- Monitor inventory valuation and financial controls related to gold, jewellery, and retail operations.
- Work closely with operations and management teams to improve financial efficiency and profitability.
- Identify financial risks and implement appropriate control measures.
- Ensure timely completion of statutory and financial audits.
Required Qualifications
- Chartered Accountant qualification is mandatory.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Finance and Accounts.
- Strong preference for candidates with experience in the Jewellery industry.
- Candidates from Gold, Jewellery, Luxury Retail, or Retail industries will be preferred.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, taxation, accounting standards, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in handling audits and coordinating with external financial stakeholders.
- Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other financial regulations.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and cash flow management.

Preferred Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should be a qualified Chartered Accountant with significant experience in the Jewellery industry. The candidate must have a strong understanding of financial operations related to gold and jewellery businesses, including inventory control, profitability analysis, taxation, compliance, and financial planning.
Candidates with previous experience as a Finance Controller, Financial Controller, Senior Finance Manager, or similar leadership role will be preferred.
