Key Responsibilities:
Academic Delivery:
· Plan and conduct well-structured English Core classes for Grades XI and XII, strictly following the CBSE curriculum.
· Integrate language skills—reading, writing, listening, and speaking—into everyday classroom instruction.
· Ensure concept clarity by breaking down complex texts and explaining literary elements with contextual references.
Lesson Planning & Content Development:
· Prepare detailed and engaging lesson plans, worksheets, comprehension passages, writing practice exercises, and literary analysis resources.
· Use multimedia presentations, audio recordings, and online platforms to facilitate active and varied learning experiences.
Student Evaluation & Exam Preparation:
· Design and administer class tests, assignments, and unit assessments in line with CBSE’s format and marking scheme.
· Identify learning gaps and provide individualized support or remedial sessions to enhance performance.
· Organize revision sessions and mock tests to help students prepare for the Class XII board examination effectively.
Skill Enrichment & Activities:
· Encourage participation in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like debates, elocution contests, essay competitions, creative writing clubs, and reading circles.
· Mentor students for interschool literary events and Olympiads (like the English Language Olympiad or Spell Bee).
Professional Contributions:
· Collaborate with peers in the English department to review curriculum plans and share best practices.
· Maintain proper records of lesson plans, attendance, assessments, and student feedback.
· Attend workshops, CBSE orientation programs, and internal faculty development initiatives for continuous improvement.
Parent and School Engagement:
· Regularly communicate with parents through PTMs regarding student progress and areas of improvement.
· Uphold the school’s academic standards, discipline policies, and contribute to institutional goals and events.
