Position Summary
We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and student-centric English Teacher who is also capable of teaching Social Science (SST) for the Middle School section in a CBSE curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that fosters critical thinking, creativity, and academic excellence.
Eligibility Criteria
- Master's Degree in English from a recognized university.
- B.Ed. is mandatory.
- Ability to teach Social Science up to the Middle School level will be preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of teaching experience in a CBSE-affiliated school.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Excellent classroom management and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Google Workspace, Smart Boards, and online teaching platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English Language & Literature and Social Science (History, Geography, Civics, and Economics) as per the CBSE curriculum.
- Prepare annual lesson plans, weekly lesson plans, and curriculum planners.
- Deliver interactive and activity-based classroom sessions using modern pedagogical practices.
- Develop students' reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, communication, and analytical skills.
- Conduct assessments, prepare question papers, evaluate answer scripts, and maintain academic records.
- Integrate ICT tools and digital learning resources into classroom teaching.
- Maintain classroom discipline and promote a positive learning environment.
- Identify students requiring academic support and provide remedial instruction.
- Participate actively in school assemblies, co-curricular activities, competitions, field trips, and events.
- Attend PTMs, staff meetings, training programs, workshops, and professional development sessions.
- Maintain regular communication with parents regarding students' academic progress and behaviour.
- Ensure timely completion of syllabus and adherence to CBSE guidelines.
- Support school initiatives and contribute to curriculum enrichment activities.
