Key duties and responsibilities
- Forecasting: Predict future demand for rooms and other services by analyzing historical data, market trends, and local events.
- Pricing Strategy: Develop and implement dynamic pricing strategies to maximize revenue, adjusting rates in real-time based on demand.
- Distribution Management: Oversee and optimize all distribution channels, including online travel agencies (OTAs), direct bookings, and wholesalers, to ensure profitability.
- Inventory Management: Control room inventory across all booking channels to ensure maximum occupancy and revenue potential.
- Competitive Analysis: Monitor competitor pricing and strategies to maintain a competitive edge in the market.
- Reporting and Analysis: Analyze key performance metrics like RevPAR (Revenue per Available Room) and ADR (Average Daily Rate) to identify areas for improvement and provide performance reports.
- Collaboration: Work with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and operations, to ensure revenue strategies align with overall business goals.
- Ancillary Revenue: Identify and implement opportunities to increase revenue beyond just room sales, such as through upselling or managing other services.
- System Maintenance: Ensure revenue management and booking systems are configured correctly, maintained, and functioning properly.
