Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Counselor to guide patients through their treatment journey at Dayal Eye Centre. The role focuses on financial counselling for ophthalmic procedures including Cataract, LASIK, and other laser treatments — helping patients understand procedure options, costs, payment plans, and insurance coverage while supporting informed decision-making. This role requires a strong understanding of eye care procedures and the patient counselling process in an ophthalmology setup.
Key Responsibilities:
- Counsel patients on recommended treatments, procedures, and associated costs in a clear and empathetic manner
- Explain procedure packages for Cataract, LASIK, and other ophthalmic surgeries
- Guide patients on payment options, EMI plans, insurance coverage, and cashless processes
- Convert OPD consultations into confirmed surgeries through effective counselling and follow-up
- Address patient queries, concerns, and objections professionally to build trust
- Maintain accurate counselling records, conversion data, and daily reports
- Coordinate closely with doctors, optometrists, and the front office team for a seamless patient experience
- Follow up with patients pre and post-surgery to ensure satisfaction and adherence
- Achieve monthly conversion and revenue targets set by the management
Requirements (Must-Have) / Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline
- Prior financial counselling experience in an eye care centre or ophthalmology setup is mandatory
- Strong understanding of ophthalmic procedures (Cataract, LASIK, Refractive surgeries) and their pricing structures
- Excellent communication skills in English and Hindi
- Patient, empathetic, and persuasive approach to handling patients
Candidate must Have:
- Proven track record of meeting conversion or revenue targets in a healthcare counselling role
- Familiarity with insurance and cashless claim processes for eye care procedures
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Basic computer proficiency (MS Office, hospital management software)
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹550,000.00 per year
