Job Description
The Central Planning Excellence Manager will support the centralized supply chain planning function by driving planning governance, inventory analytics, capacity visibility, and planning process excellence across global manufacturing sites. The role is focuses to strengthen end-to-end planning capabilities through data-driven analysis, planning coordination, SAP S/4HANA planning support, and continuous improvement initiatives..

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATION:
Minimum - Bachelor of Engineering ( Mechanical/Production/Chemical)
Preferred – BE and Masters
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:
Min 2 years
Preferred – 4 to 6 years
KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning Governance
- Support governance and adherence to centralized planning processes across multiple manufacturing sites and regions
- Monitor planning calendar compliance and ensure timely completion of planning activities by site and regional IBP teams
- Coordinate with regional and site planning teams for planning inputs, action tracking, and issue resolution.
- Support standardization of planning methodologies, templates, and reporting practices across IBP regions.
- Track planning risks, exceptions, and escalation points for management review for all sites.
- Assist in improving planning discipline and process consistency across sites with help of IBP.
Inventory Analytics & Optimization
- Develop and implement comprehensive inventory management policy & strategies across PPS sites with IBP
- Conduct and evaluate product segmentation by analyzing business parameter and make recommendation on inventory strategy.
- Perform detailed analysis of inventory data and create and maintain inventory reports and dashboards for management review.
- Provide regular reports and insights to leadership team on inventory performance and make recommendations
- Identify key inventory drivers and planning gaps impacting working capital and provide inputs to Regional IBP.
- Develop and create appropriate Inventory Budget by collaborating with IBP and Finance
Capacity Planning & RCCP Support
- Support IBP in capacity tracking and resource utilization analysis across manufacturing sites
- Monitor bottleneck resources, overload risks, and capacity constraints and bring insights in Exec S&OP.
- Assist regional IBP in Rough-Cut Capacity Planning (RCCP) reviews and supply-demand balancing activities
- Highlight medium- and long-term capacity risks impacting business continuity or customer commitments and provide gap summary in Exec S&OP.
- Support development of capacity visibility dashboards and planning insights with IBP
SAP S/4HANA & MRP Planning Support
- Support stabilization and continuous improvement of planning processes in SAP S/4HANA and other planning tools.
- Analyse MRP exception messages and identify recurring planning issues and provide inputs to IBP.
- Review planning master data and planning parameters impacting MRP outputs and propose rectification.
- Support validation of lot sizes, safety stock settings, lead times, and replenishment parameters
- Assist IBP in identifying root causes for planning instability and supply disruptions.
- Participate in planning system enhancement, testing, and process improvement initiatives
S&OP & Executive Planning Support
- Support preparation and consolidation of planning analytics for monthly Executive S&OP reviews
- Consolidate inventory, capacity, and supply-demand insights across regions and sites for Exec S&OP & MBR.
- Track planning risks, mitigation plans, and action closures for management reviews
- Support development of executive dashboards and planning performance metrics
- Provide analytical support for business decision-making and supply chain reviews
Continuous Improvement & Planning Excellence
- Identify opportunities for planning process improvement, simplification, and automation
- Support development of analytical tools, dashboards, and automated reporting solutions, AI agents and Bots.
- Assist in reducing manual planning activities and improving reporting efficiency
- Participate in planning transformation and centralization initiatives
- Contribute to building scalable and standardized planning capabilities across the organization
- Support implementation of best practices in inventory, capacity, and supply planning processes
