Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Medical Components Design Engineer with expertise in SolidWorks to design, develop, and optimize medical device components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D, manufacturing, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to create innovative and compliant medical products.
Key Responsibilities
· Design and develop medical device components and assemblies using SolidWorks.
· Create detailed 3D models, engineering drawings, and technical documentation.
· Perform design modifications based on testing, manufacturing feedback, and customer requirements.
· Conduct tolerance analysis, fitment studies, and design validation activities.
· Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are optimized for production.
· Support prototype development, testing, and product verification.
· Ensure designs comply with relevant medical industry standards and regulatory requirements.
· Maintain engineering change orders (ECOs) and design history files (DHFs).
· Participate in risk analysis and design review meetings.
· Troubleshoot product design issues and recommend corrective actions.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
· 2–5+ years of experience in product design, preferably in the medical device industry.
· Proficiency in SolidWorks (Part Modeling, Assemblies, Sheet Metal, Surface Modeling, and Drawings).
· Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
· Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.
· Familiarity with design control requirements for medical devices.
· Ability to interpret engineering specifications and technical standards.
