Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in History / Social Science with B.Ed. / M.Ed.
- 3–5 years of relevant teaching experience at the primary level
- Familiarity with the Cambridge Primary Curriculum will be preferred
Role Objective
The teacher will be responsible for introducing young learners to fundamental historical concepts, helping them understand the past, heritage, cultures, and historical events, and developing curiosity and awareness about societies within the Cambridge Primary framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging History lessons for Grades 1–5 aligned with the Cambridge Primary curriculum
- Use activity-based and inquiry-led teaching methods to strengthen conceptual understanding
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Create an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students’ holistic development
- Participate in school activities and professional development initiatives
Essential Attributes
- Strong subject knowledge in History and understanding of primary-level pedagogy
- Good communication and classroom management skills
