To manage the daily operations of the housekeeping department to ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and maintenance in all facilities of hospital. Key duties include scheduling, training, and supervising staff, conducting quality inspections, managing inventory, and addressing patient/client complaints in hospital environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Schedule, train, motivate, and manage the performance of housekeeping staff.
- Quality Control: Inspect patient rooms, public areas, office areas and restrooms for compliance with cleanliness standards.
- Operations Management: Assign daily tasks, manage staff attendance, and cover absences
- Inventory & Supplies: Monitor inventory, order cleaning materials, and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
- Customer Service: Address patient/clients complaints promptly and ensure high satisfaction levels.
- Health & Safety: Enforce safety regulations, chemical handling protocols, and sanitation procedures.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 3 to 6 years in housekeeping, preferably in a supervisory role within the hospital industry.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Knowledge: Deep understanding of cleaning techniques, sanitization protocols, and equipment.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
